Andersonville Prison
142 Pages, 8.5" x 11", Full Name Index, Perfect Bound, Reprinted 2005
Andersonville Prison, the very term caused Union Soldiers to shrink with fear. A prison that was designed to hold 10,000 prisoners, but at its height there were over 45,000 held captive here. This listing by Dorence Atwater of the 2nd New York Cavalry was only 19 years old when he came to the prison and he became the “keeper” of the books to record the deaths. His listing, given here, contains almost 12,500 soldiers who died while a prisoner. The listing is given by State of origin and then alphabetical in that state. Here for the first time is a full alphabetical index to all the names showing 12,429 total. This is a must for Civil War research of Union Troops. GN-0246, $35.00![]()

Volume V: Reminiscenses of Wiliam G. Allen
COMPLETE DETAILS & SURNAME INDEX
This volume is a combination hand-written history of the unit plus a collection of various newspaper articles written for the Dayton Herald and the Confederate Veteran between 1911 and 1918. William Gibbs Allen was a prolific writer, although his spelling, lack of punctuation, and unusual style left a bit to be desired at the time. The scrapbooks also contained articles written by others with which Allen had taken exception and had written a rebuttal article. The articles have been collected and arranged in the best arrangement possible of the materials. No attempt has been made to re-check any of Allen's information (dates, sequence of events, etc.). Very little editing has been done on the articles. They are left in the original form to illustrate the way someone would have written the events from a first-hand, personal aspect.

World War II
Richard L. Saunders and Marvin L. Downing, 128 pages, soft cover, ISBN 1-930670-05-2.
An alphabetical listing of World War II Veterans from Weakley Co., Tennessee and surrounding area. This is one of those resources that in time will be of great value. The sources of these records have been compiled from War Records Bureau Veteran Lists, Weakley County Newspapers and the efforts of University of Tennessee Junior College Students and Trainees. As the time grows between the present and the time of World War II, fewer living members of that conflict survive. These listings are very important to the researchers of both history and genealogy.
