Originally published in Memoirs of Georgia (1895) and Historical Collection of Georgia (1854), this reprint contains a brief history of DeKalb County followed by pioneer biographies.

Included in many of the biographies are tidbits about the pioneer's character, military service, marriage, children, death, and political affiliation. A 'must-have' for any DeKalb researcher.
